ĐORĐE KUJUNDŽIĆ

Djordje Kujundzic is a saxophone and clarinet player and a composer. Born and based in Belgrade, Serbia. He studied and graduated in Switzerland at conservatories in Lugano and Luzern.

During his career he had experience in music performance of classical music, jazz and popular music genres. Performed as a soloist, member of chamber ensembles, contemporary music ensemble, symphony orchestra, big band, revue orchestra. Some of the most important are Big Band RTS, Symphony Orchestra RTS, Nikolov – Ivanovic Undektet, United Soloists Orchestra.

Winner of a large number of awards at international competitions in the field of classical music, amongst which the most important is Czech Clarinet Award.

Recently, he had two album releases. Solo album „Djordje Kujundzic Quartet – The Sound of Night“, featuring baritone saxophone and the rhythm section, and „Ante Grgin – Sonatas“ performing clarinet and alto saxophone.

Đorđe is a full-time musician, performing with many different bands and musicians at the Belgrade music scene. So far, he performed with diverese ensembles at important music festivals such as Jazz sous le Pommiers (Coutances, France), Horizonte Festival (Koblenz, Germany), ACC World Music Festival (Gwangju, Republic of Korea), EXPO 2020 (Dubai, UAE), WOMEX (Porto, Portugal).

Đorđe is a proud husband and father of two beautiful children and they are by far his most important „success“.
